Thredbo Blues Festival is known by blues lovers as the 'boutique festival’ because the bands
play in a variety of small venues and restaurants, all within walking
distance, allowing guests an up-close and personal musical experience. The 2012 program reflects the great depth of talent and the heritage of
Australian Blues reflected in its players, their songs and the sounds
and textures they create.

27 - 29 Jan, Irish Cultural Festival Jindabyne
The Irish Cultural Festival at Lake Jindabyne at the foot of the Snowy Mountains is Australia’s premiere Irish cultural festival, attracting the best of Irish traditional musicians from all over Australia and abroad. Activities include music sessions, dance bands, Irish dancing displays, and a GAA family day with ladies football, mens football and hurling.

3 days of music on two stages. The main stage will be held on the Big D
ski run at Hotham, providing amazing 360 degree views to the sounds of
fabulous independent Australian music.
March 2012
23 -25 March, Thredbo Jazz Party
This not for profit community festival is a 3 day celebration of jazz
music, great food and wine set in picturesque Thredbo in the heart of
the spectacular Snowy Mountains. The festival program features over 120 performers seen in 15 separate
venues including bars, cosy restaurants, a nightclub, community centre,
at the top of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift and the Thredbo Village
Square, taking the jazz lover on a musical journey around Thredbo.
April 2012
6 - 9 April, Lake Light Sculpture
Lake Light Sculpture is an exhibition and competition held along the stunning foreshore of Lake Jindabyne located at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains NSW. The annual exhibition runs over the Easter weekend with the official opening & award presentation on Good Friday morning. Light is a distinctive, innovative element of the event. A unique feature of this sculpture exhibition is the dramatic night time illumination of the artworks. Artists are therefore encouraged consider the incorporation of this element into their sculptures. The use of innovative and sustainable methods of illumination is especially welcomed.

9-12 June, Snowy Mountains of Music - Perisher
This vibrant music festival runs on the June long weekend in Perisher and coincides with the opening of the winter ski season, and the end of the summer festival season. With over 100 concerts from early to late across nine venues,
Australia's only "on-snow" music festival is going to wake up the 2011
winter with a smorgasbord of flavours from across the world. Look
forward to world music, roots, blues, gypsy, reggae, acoustic,
bluegrass, folk, funk and even a bit of magic.
